Welcome to the HFC/ASC Spring 2012 season

Hello HFC/ASC Players and Families!

Hope you all have been enjoying the nice weather and are ready for the spring season! Below is information on the upcoming season.
Winter Training -For those of you participating in the winter training at the Dome, the last training session is scheduled for April 3rd. If fields open on April 1st then we may move outdoors beginning 4/2. However, please plan on training to be at the Dome unless you hear otherwise.
Spring League - All travel teams (U10-U19) will be participating in the Granite State Soccer League this spring season under the name of Hampshire FC. The website for the league is www.granitestatesoccer.com. Here you will find schedules, directions, standings, etc. Games will begin the weekend of April 14th. Game schedules are not yet posted. More information on games will be sent once available by your team managers. All home games will be played at Cemetery Fields in Amherst. Games may be played on Saturday, Sunday or both days on any given weekend.

EDP - Scheduled to start on 4/16 at Upper Wilkins field. U10 teams will begin practicing earlier than the rest of EDP due to league games starting 4/14 - schedule to come. Saturday Jamborees will be held at 1:00 at Cemetery Fields. More information will be sent on the schedule for U10/EDP.
Goal Keeper Training-The club will be offering Goal Keeper Training on Thursdays at Cemetery Fields. U15-19 will take place from 5-6 PM and U10-U14 from 6-7 PM starting April 19th. If interested, please email Lisa Davidson at treasurer@comcast.net so we can get a handle on how many kids will be there. Gk's with practice time conflicts should attend keeper training and then go to their regular practice.
Tournament - Just a reminder that the club is hosting our 20th Annual Memorial Day Tournament May 26th-28th. We will be hosting over 250 teams over the memorial weekend. This annual soccer tournament is our club's only fundraiser and a lot of fun and games for our kids. We earn a significant amount of our funds from this weekends event which helps to keep our fees down. All parents are assigned approximately 6-8 hours per player this weekend at a specific duty such as field marshaling, concessions, parking, field cleanup, field prep, etc. Team Duties will be assigned in April so please keep the weekend free for your child's games and your work assignment. If you would like to complete your hours prior to that weekend or will be away, contact Lisa at tournament@amherstsoccerclub.com.
Practices and Coaches -The coaching and practice schedule has been set for the club. We are at the mercy of the town on when fields will be opening for the spring. Tentative date is currently set for April 1st. Please see below for schedule. Any changes to the schedule will be sent to you by either the team manager or coach. Training uniform for all players will be their blue training (camp) shirt and your own black shorts and black socks. Players will be expected to come dressed appropriately. If you are new to the club and have not received your blue shirt yet, please let your team manager know and we will get you one. We are happy to announce the following coaches and team:

ASC Spring Registration and more! - PLEASE READ and REACT

Hello HFC/ASC,

It is hard to believe but spring is just around the corner and it is time to register for the spring season!  Our spring season will begin in April, pending field opening by the town.  The league is requiring us to register all teams by January 31st.  If you could please email your team manager back by January 25th and let them know if you will be playing this spring so that we can register the appropriate teams with the league.    We then ask that you follow the below link to register your child for the spring season.   This process should be easy for you just need to log into your exsisting account, verify information and register.  Just a couple of reminders and notes:

Online Registration - Due by 02/10/12.
 https://www.gotsport.com/asp/application/reg/Default.asp?ProgramID=12036

All spring players will need to complete this step.  Click on above link.  Log into your individual or family account.  Verify information and select sign up for spring season.  You will have the option to pay by credit card or check.    Please print out the release form at end of registration process and mail to PO Box 853, Amherst, NH 03031 along with check if paying by check.   You may also complete, scan and email the form to treasurer@amherstsoccerclub.com.  For more information on spring dues, please go to our website www.amherstsoccerclub.com.

Other items of note:
·       Team Registration - The club has decided to use our Hampshire FC name for all Upper Club teams that will be playing in a league (U11 and up).  We are a regional club with kids from Amherst, Wilton, Milford, Merrimack, Peterborough, New Boston, etc. and want to continue to embrace players from outside Amherst.  The EDP and Tots programs will continue to run under the Amherst Soccer Club name.
·         Uniforms (U10-U14 teams) - For those of you needing replacement uniforms or items, uniform orders will be taken in February and a separate email will be sent out regarding this.  The full uniform package includes a white game jersey (short sleeves), red alternative game jersey (long sleeves), Nike shorts and Nike socks for $60.  You will be able to view sizes with samples at indoor training in February.
·         Player Photo (U10 - U14) - Please be sure that a photo has been uploaded on your players account and update if needed.  Photo's are required for player passes.

Hope to see you this spring.

Thanks,
ASC Board

Re: HFC/ASC Winter Training

Team:

If you have not yet signed up for Winter training, I would like to take this chance to encourage you to enroll asap.  Training at the Dome is very convenient and it is a great facility to compliment the excellent training that will begin January 10 and ensure the players are in top shape for the Spring season.  Thanks and see you at the Dome!

Winter Training Moves to the Dome !!!!!!!
Hello Parents and Players,
The club will be holding its winter skill training again this year for all HFC/ASC players.  It will take place at the HAMPSHIRE DOME! This is a great way for the players to keep their foot on the ball through the winter and improve their individual skills. All players are highly encouraged to participate.  The entire club will train Tuesday nights for 12 weeks. The sessions will be 2 hours for U11-U18 and 1 1/4 hours for EDP.  It will run from January 10th - April 3rd (No training 2/28 during vacation) in Milford. Training will be done by our licensed professional coaching staff.  Even if you cannot make every week it is still a great deal.
Times and Costs:
EDP (U7-U10)                 5:00 pm to 6:15   Cost $175
Upper Club (U11-U18)    6:00 pm to 8:00   Cost  $250

Please read completely prior to registering to make the process easier:

1.  Click here to link to your got soccer account:

2.  If you created a family account when you registered for the fall or have multiple players registered with the club, the easiest way is to click on the family registration-existing family account box to the right.  This will allow you to register multiple children.

 3.  If you only have one child that plays for the club and created an individual account for them in the fall, click on the box individual registered users to the right under family registration

4.  If you are a new family or individual, click on the box to the left.

5.  You will then be prompted to log in to your account.

6.  Select the player that you wish to sign up and follow the online instructions.

If paying by check, you will still need to register online and then mail payment to HFC/ASC, PO Box 853, Amherst, NH  03031.  Please register by November 28th as we need to commit to the Hampshire Dome for space.   EDP questions please contact Molly Dix at dix@rti.org and Upper Club please contact Lisa Davidson at 4davidsons99@comcast.net.

End of Season Party and more...

Dear HFC/ASC Families-

Hope all of you are getting back to normal and survived the storm.  Unfortunately, due to the weather our season year end party was canceled.  We have rescheduled the party for Sunday November 13th from 6:00-8:30 at the Hampshire Dome.   The club will rent field space and will be providing the pizza and drinks.  We are asking families to bring a salad (pasta, green, potato, etc) or a desert if possible.  Players and families come dressed to play.

·         If you could please let your team manager know if you will be attending and how many people so we can plan on the correct amount of pizza.

Also, our Annual General Meeting (AGM) was scheduled for November so we will be combining the two events and will do q quick review of the year, and give families an opportunity to interact with the Board.  During the AGM, families can meet the board and help to chart our future as a club.  We recently acknowledged the great work of two hard-working volunteer – Mike Osborne, and Amy Facey.  We would like to extend our thanks and gratitude for the years of service from Mike (President) and Amy (Registrar) who have resigned their positions.  Both have been instrumental in the daily activities of the club and helping to lead us through the past few years.  We are happy to announce that Molly Dix has taken over as President with Pete Camello filling Molly's seat as Vice President.  Nicole Salvas will be taking over for Amy Facey as Registrar.  Amy will still be involved with the club but at a different level.  We appreciate their years of service, and welcome new volunteers.

Please plan on joining us at the season end party and AGM; HFC/ASC is a volunteer organization and we value the insights and energy of each family.
We look forward to seeing you on November 13, 2011.

·         Also, don't forget we need to book our space for indoor at the Dome, and need to plan on your player. Register at: https://www.gotsport.com/asp/application/reg/Default.asp?ProgramID=11076&Type=PLAYER

ASC u10 games - CANCELED

Team:

Just received notice that tomorrow's games for both the Blue and Red teams are canceled.  These games will not be rescheduled.  As these are the last games of the season and we have no more practices, this is the end of the Fall season.

Two reminder items.
  1. The club is trying to reschedule the end-of-season event.  Please look out for more information about this during the week.
  2. If you have not already, I encourage you to register your player for the winter training sessions.  The training is a great value and will make sure your player is ready when the snows recede and the Spring season begins.
Thanks and as always let me know if you have any questions.

ASC U10 Red at Hudson United SC @ 1:00pm

Team,

Our last game is on Sunday, 10/30 at Hudson Freedom Fields against Hudson United.  Please wear red uniform shirts to the game and bring white.  It is supposed to be a sunny day, but it will be cold so please dress appropriately and bring something warm to wear when you are not playing.

Also please remember that we have the club end of season event on Saturday.  I hope everyone will be able to come and enjoy the skills, tail gating and soccer game.

I also want to encourage everyone again to register for winter training.  The more u10's we get to train together the more effect the training will be and the more improvement everyone will see come the spring season.

As always if you have any questions, please let me know.  See you all at practice on Friday, at SNHU on Saturday and at the game on Sunday.
