Welcome to the HFC U10 pool and the 2012 Fall Season. It was great to see so many players at the Souhegan camp. We had over 25 players n the U10 group and it made for a great week. We have a great group of players this year with 37 players currently in the U10 pool. This means we will have 2 boys teams and 2 girls teams registered this season with the Granite State Soccer League.
The U10 pool will practice as a group Mon, Wed and Fri at Upper Wilkins Field from 5:30-6:45pm. Practices will begin next week on Monday, 8/27. Our first games will be on Saturday, 9/8 so this will give us 5 practices to get ready for the first game of the season. Since many of the players have not played 6v6 soccer, there is plenty of work to do to get ready for that first game.
The U10 pool is part of the Early Development Program (EDP) and while we play competitive games against other club teams our primary focus is on developing the skills of all the individual players. The coaches will be focused on developing the technical skills of the players and teaching them to enjoy the game. The coaches are always available to discuss issues or concerns with a player's development or participation.
There are 5 coaches will be focused on working with the U10 group. This will allow us to make sure we always have good cover at practices and games this season.
We have currently have 3 team managers:
We are still looking for a team manager for the BU10 Red team. If you have a player on the BU10 Red team and are interested in being the team manager please contact me.
We have our own team website with information about the U10 pool including an archive of emails, a calendar of events, links to other sites, contact info and photos. Please check it out and refer to it through out the season for important information.
